Meet Luan Blancher

Luan Blancher has proudly called Wyoming home for the past 12 years. Deeply committed to her community, she has built strong relationships with local leaders and served as a member of the Wyoming Primary Schools Building Steering Committee. She has also led a girls’ adolescent strength and fitness class at the Wyoming Recreation Center, helping them to build healthy habits and confidence.

Luan is running for the Wyoming School Board because she is passionate about supporting teachers, students with the necessary resources to help them thrive in the classroom. She is also interested in their overall wellness—mentally, physically, and academically. She believes that the experiences students gain in school shape them into future leaders and engaged citizens. Her vision is to expand the current opportunities for both students, teachers and administrators by by building partnerships with schools, local businesses, universities, and nonprofits.

As someone who benefited from the impact of dedicated teachers of the public school system she knows all too well how this sets the foundation for a successful future. With a background in Food Science she is passionate about STEAM and her experiences as a former D1 collegiate athlete drives her commitment to excellence and balance in student life.

Luan has hosted and participated in many professional and collegiate career panels, served as a mentor to numerous young professionals and is a peer mentor to many.Professionally, Luan is a Senior Marketing Manager at MANE Flavors, where she brings experience in critical thinking, change management, program development, leadership, and building strategic partnerships. She will carry these same cross-functional skills and focus into her community work.

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Luan enjoys spending time with her husband, Guillaume, their son, Keenan, and dog, Arlo. You can often find her running on Sunday mornings with her Coffee Run group which supports local coffee shops, cheering at her son’s sporting events, binge watching cooking videos on social media or enjoying walks and hikes with her family.

As a school board member, Luan will work to ensure our schools prepare students not just for graduation, but for lifelong success.
